Content Guidelines


Please read carefully as each article should follow the instructions and guidelines attached to the category. Without forgetting that

content is king and an integral part of the article:

Article Contents

  • The article you submit must be written in good English. If written in languages other than English, please translate accordingly to the English language before submitting.
  • Your article must be clear, unique and for you only. You must have the right to publish it. If you are a ghostwriter or submitting on behalf of a third party, then you must include the name of the original author in the article.
  • We do not allow articles that have appeared on other websites. Make sure you have sole ownership of articles before submission. The penalty for violating this rule is suspension from our website.
  • Articles should be easy to read and understand at a go as there are diverse literacy levels among our audience.
  • Badly written and formatted articles with punctuation, grammatical, spelling, and sentence structure mistakes will be rejected. Properly structured articles in English must be submitted as these articles will be checked before publishing. 
  • Articles rejected should be rechecked by the author thoroughly before resubmitting. Articles that contain the same content or fails to adhere to corrections will not be published.
  • We do not allow articles that contain promotion of or information on pornography/ explicit adult material, arms, drugs, violence, escort services, etc. as Hubslides is a Knowledge-based and educative platform. Profanity is highly discouraged too.
  • Negative marketing against another company or one's competitors is totally not allowed.
  • Personal information, email address, postal address, or other means of correspondence written in articles will be rejected. This is to guide against spamming as Hubslides intends to keep our readers and visitors safe from spammers.
  • We do not allow hate speech, racial intolerance or articles containing degrading or insulting an individual or group, religion, sect or race, etc. as Hubslides is for everybody. Articles supporting terrorism and other negative activities are also not allowed.

 Article Title

Your article title is an accurate description of what the reader/visitor is about to read in the body. It helps to build a relationship between the author and the audience. It gives an insight into what to find in the body of the article. A well-crafted title should include the following guidelines to get approved:

  • A maximum of 100 characters long is expected of your article title.
  • Article title must be in standard sentence format and well-structured in the English Language. Abbreviations included in the title should be capitalized.  All caps format of the title will be rejected.
  • Excessive punctuation marks in the title are frowned at.
  • The title must contain more than one word devoid of slang words or profanity.
  • The title cannot contain an HTML tag, author name, or URL.
  • Make your title brief and easy to understand but should be relevant to the body of the article.

Article Body

The below guidelines are expected to be followed by authors within the articles & content body

  • The article title and body must align. It is important that the body must be relevant to the title. Violation of this rule may lead to your article not being published.
  • Do not use capital letters and the writer’s name in the article body.
  • The article body should be properly formatted with single spaces between words and proper line breaks should be used. Failure to follow this leads to rejection. Bullets and numbering should be used in an appropriate manner.
  • The opening paragraph should introduce what the article is all about and a maximum of 4 lines per paragraph is allowed.
  • The article body must consist of at least 800 words. The maximum number of words allowed in the article body is 2,500.

                               

  • Avoid article body containing affiliation links or excessive links for promoting websites, commercial, or advertorial content.
  • Personal contact information should not be included in the article body.
  • References should be it HTML or URL given in the article body must be relevant to the information provided in the article; otherwise, the article will be rejected.
  • All the hyperlinks provided in the article body must be active as broken links and links that lead to websites under construction are not allowed. Articles with such links will be rejected.

Article Category

Choosing the Category and Sub-Category helps the readers/visitors to find an article with ease.

  • Submit your article under the right category and sub-category.
  • Some categories do look similar but still choose the most appropriate category.
  • To help in choosing the most appropriate category and sub-category, further, click on the sub-category under the main category to see how relevant it is.
  • Having gone through all categories and cannot find the appropriate one, then contact us through editor@hubslides.com to create the required category on the platform.

Article Keywords

Keywords are an integral part of an article as it helps generate traffic to your articles. These guidelines should be followed:

  • All the keywords must be relevant to the article, separated by a single comma and single space. Articles with irrelevant keywords will be rejected.
  • A considerable number of unique keywords are allowed in your article. One keyword may be 3 to 30 characters long.
  • Do not overspread your keywords in your article. This makes it look monotonous.

Author Bio

Credibility is added to an article if the author includes a signature. Author signature must follow these guidelines:

  • Do not include personal information in the resource box.
  • The author's signature is optional. If provided, it should not exceed more than 200 words.
