But, before we go any further, it is important to understand what an organization is and how it relates to the non-profit organization.

By definition, any gathering of people, who are aiming to achieve a well-defined goal or objective is called an organization.

Since humans are social beings, we can easily say that a formal relationship of any kind can be referred to as an organization.
