Ronaldo Refutes Rumor Of Leaving Al Nassr
The renowned player from Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo has refuted rumors suggesting his return to Europe.
Ronaldo then confirmed his intention to continue playing in Saudi Arabia for the upcoming season.
The 38-year-old footballer had signed a two-year contract with Al-Nassr in January, following his departure from Manchester United.
Despite scoring 14 goals in 16 appearances, Al-Nassr finished second in the Saudi Pro League (Roshn Saudi League).
Recent reports had surfaced claiming that the Portuguese legend planned to leave his current team and make a comeback to Europe.
However, Ronaldo dismissed these speculations during a conversation with reporters. He stated, as quoted by Goal, "I am content and determined to stay here. I look forward to the next season, where the team will perform even better. We have made significant progress in the past 5 or 6 months, and I have full confidence that we will soon achieve title victories."
Meanwhile, there have been rumors linking Karim Benzema to Al-Ittihad and Lionel Messi to Al-Hilal for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Ronaldo extended a warm welcome to the two iconic players, stating, "They are welcome...the league will improve, and it currently boasts exceptional foreign and Arab players."
