#3. Soybeans

According to current statistics, Nigeria is West and Central Africa's largest soybean exporter for human consumption.

Over 70 percent of Nigeria's soybean production is carried out in the middle belt, especially in Benue state in particular.

Soybeans are largely cultivated in the following states in Nigeria: Oyo, Kwara, Ondo, Kogi, Osun, Nassarawa, Niger, Kaduna, Bauchi, Taraba, and Ogun states.

Second, only to the United States, Nigeria is perhaps the world's second-largest producer of Guinea corn.

Guinea Corn was grown commercially in 2013 to the tune of 5.9 million tonnes. The states that are actively engaged in Guinea Corn production in Nigeria are Kaduna, Katsina, Niger, Borno,  Zamfara, and Bauchi.

Katsina, Jigawa, Kano Kaduna, Taraba, Adamawa, Kebbi, and Sokoto are among the states heavily engaged in sugarcane cultivation in Nigeria.

2.8 million tonnes of groundnuts were produced in Nigeria in 2019. On the global stage, Nigeria is reputed to be the third-largest groundnut producer, they trail countries like China and India in terms of production output.
