A group of migrants staged an overnight protest on a street in central London, expressing their dissatisfaction with the accommodation provided at a local hotel.

The demonstrators, consisting entirely of men, gathered outside the Comfort Inn in Pimlico after their request for private rooms was denied. Instead, they were informed that they would be sharing rooms equipped with bunk beds, accommodating four people each.

Prior to their arrival in Pimlico, all 25 individuals had been staying at a hotel in Essex, where they were allocated individual rooms with private bathrooms.

However, upon reaching the new venue, they were disappointed to learn that they would be required to share rooms with "unpleasant-smelling" bathrooms, which they believed did not offer sufficient space for four occupants.

Unwilling to accept government-funded alternative accommodation, the group opted to protest by occupying the pavement outside the hotel.

They made it clear that they intended to remain there until their demands for single rooms were met. Images captured at the scene depicted the protesters arranging bedding on cardboard and tending to their bags and suitcases.

Some of the men barricaded the hotel entrance with their luggage, while others engaged in phone conversations, awaiting the outcome of their demonstration.

In response to the situation, Westminster Council reached out to the Home Secretary, urging for immediate clarification on the matter of the migrants.

Metropolitan Police officers have since been dispatched to the hotel . The establishment charges £150 per room per night. Shortly after the protesters re-entered the hotel to engage in discussions with a representative from the Home Office, leading to the departure of the police.
